Naturopathy; an holistic way to improving your Health

Naturopaths aim to identify and remove any obstacles to healing, recovery and wellness, endeavouring to facilitate and increase the inherent self-healing process.

Naturopathy is a holistic system of medicine based on the healing power of nature and the body. The main focus of Naturopathic treatment is to find the underlying cause or reason for illness and treat according to these findings. Treatment includes body, mind, and spirit – an holistic approach to your health and wellness.

To achieve wellness, Naturopaths use a variety of therapies such as nutritional advice, lifestyle changes, vitamin/mineral supplementation, herbal medicine, Bach and Bush remedies and homotoxicology.  

There are areas of focus in Naturopathy:
• supporting the body's own healing abilities, and
• empowering you to make lifestyle changes necessary for you to achieve the best possible health outcome.

Illness comes in many forms and as part of your healing journey you may be asked that you change your diet, take vitamin/mineral supplements, flower essenses and/or homeopathic remedies. Usually a rule of thumb for treatment length is 1-3 months for every year that you have had your condition. Unfortunately wellness does not come overnight OR without effort on your part.

It is the goal of a Naturopath, together with the patient, to achieve the best possible health outcome through evidence based complementary health care.
